Hi everybody. We are in Bluffton South Carolina now, well four of us are. The other four are vacationing at some friend's homes. Our big hooman brudder, Garrett is graduating from The Marines Boot Camp at Parris Island and we came to visit. Today we had lots of fun running on the beach. YOu can see we had lots of fun!

Mum and Dad had something new cooked up for us one weekend. Quite unusual since we are mostly white dogs and it is one of Mom's fetishes to keep us gleaming white (in the white parts, natch). But on this day, little did we know we were going to a doggy dream play date.

We had a long car ride, that alone is so much fun. Most of us lie down nicely in the back, only Dodge pops his head up front to ask Mum and Dad if we are there yet? Dodge keeps things running. When we finally pulled into the Bamboo farm, we all start singing a happy song, Yay we are here! Hooray we are gonna have fun! Yippee, let's make people smile!

When we got out of the car, the most appealing aroma hit our fuzzy little noses. Mum called it "Cow manoo-er", whatever that means. And PUDDLES. We love puddles. But these are not ordinary puddles. They are dark brown puddles you can't see inside of these like the ones at the sandbar... these hold mysteries. And we had a plan. As soon as we were out of the car, we all took off in different directions so we could cover lots of ground really fast and report back later.

He didn't stop even though his engine was overheating. Shadow and Dodge watch from a safe distance.

As you can see from the pictures, we had lotsa fun, got really dirty and everybody else did too. And, believe it or not, our spectacular fur was nice and white again by the time we got home. Mud baths is GOOD for you!

Shadow and Katey are tired, but happy.

Let's Go Fishing

Hi everybody. I sure don't know what is going on here, somehow, the fish got into the picture box. This is crazy! But this gives me an idea.... Hey DAD, can we go in the boat?

Well, as you can see, Dad thought I had a good idea! He is taking us to our favorite place, Peanut Island Sandbar.

We big dogs start cruising, working together, we are sure to find a fish....
The puppies wonder, "What's a fish?"

We stop at the dock for showers and Dad starts grilling steak. It is hard to be patient, but there is always a taste in there for us. The sun sets, then time to go back home.

It's such a pretty day, I should be out playing.

The weather has been so hot, here in Paradise. Although October brings cool changes to the rest of the country like chilly mornings and orangey leaves, Mum and Dad are still wearing the small clothes that their arms and legs poke out of.

Katey enjoys the Sunspot

Today is not so warm though. The sunspot on the rug is somehow much more appealing. Out in the garden, BeeGee seems a bit more jumpity. And Bebe is chasing him like a crazee woman. I didn't make out on the last run. I am not quite sure what happened, but something is hurting my eye. YIPE I don't want to open it, I tried to rub it that doesn't help.

Mum has come running to see what I am making the fuss about. She put something in my eye, says it will make me feel better. But adding insult to injury, I now have to wear this... um... CONE on my head. So I do not get to enjoy the new weather we have. I will take a nap now and hope I wake up to find this is all a BAD dream.

Update: After Maddie's nap, she looks much better. Both eyes are big, round, brown and beautiful again. She will take it easy for the rest of the day.
